I have the honour to enclose, in original, to be returned, a letter which we have received from the Government of Hong Kong forwarding a requisition for Ammunition, Clothing & Several Stores for Police Dept.

and as no reference is made to the Law or Ordinance by which the expenditure is authorized, I beg to apply for the Secretary of State's instructions in the matter.

The expenditure is estimated by the Colonial Government to amount to £599.19.2, which is exclusive of freight and incidental charges.
